Cinderella II: Dreams Come True / Cinderella III: A Twist In Time (Two-Disc DVD Collection)

Save Your Money
I actually really enjoyed Cinderella III, but Cinderella II is horrible!

Cinderella II is a collection of shorter cartoons, and can't even really be called a movie. The animation is poor, and the story lines are kind of ridiculous, (Cinderella has to have a party, one of the mice wants to be human, and one of the step-sisters wants to date a townsmen.) Alone, Cinderella II would get one-star, and that would be generous.

Cinderella III is an actual full-length movie about what would happen if Cinderella had no magic. It starts on their first anniversary, but then Lady Tremaine, (the wicked step-mother,) gets her hands on the Fairy Godmother's wand, causing them all to go back in time to the morning after the ball, and causing Prince Charming to forget he danced with Cinderella. She remembers, and tries to get him back. It's a good story, and had a strong girl power feel to it. The mice provide great comic relief, and the characters are well developed. The...

Cinderella 3 was actually very interesting
I can't remember much about Cinderella II, other than it being the typical sequel movie (if I remember correctly it's about Cinderella trying to fit-in with the palace life). However, the third Cinderella was very interesting. When this movie first came out, it was heavily advertised about what would happen if the glass slipper was taken away--would Cinderella still get her prince. So unless someone purchased it much later on than the original release it could not have been any surprise of what was going to happen. This movie doesn't take away from the first movie--it just adds to the Cinderella story.

Spoiler Alert:

The movie begins after Cinderella is with the Prince and the Wicked Stepmom and daughters are miserable. But then, the wicked step mom discovers the magic Godmother that had helped Cinderella and steals her wand. She used the wand to turn back time before Cinderella was with the prince, but this time there is no magic to help Cinderella and the...

Finally!
My daughters have wanted Cinderella 2 for a long time now, but Disney had discontinued it. We have seen Cinderella 3 and really enjoyed the twist, plus a more in depth look into Prince Charming and the king.

These reviews are opinions and while some might not care for C2, others might - especially the girls. I suggest that you give this collection a chance - I have 3 daughters (ages 2-8) and we enoy watching C2 & C3!

Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups

This will be a new holiday classic
This is a great family movie and will be a new classic for kids of all ages. My younger daughter loves the dogs and my older daughter loved Josh Feldman, the human character who did a great job and will be the next Disney cutie. As a mom I loved the believable cast, great music and an important lesson learned at the end, not to mention that the whole family could sit and watch together. Buy and enjoy.

This children's movie is depressing.
I was looking for a movie for my kids - ages 5 and 2 1/2 - to watch as a treat. This seemed like a safe choice. How can you go wrong with a movie that has cute dogs and Santa? I was wrong. This movie is depressing. A significant part of the plot includes the (human) kids trying to deal with their first Christmas without their mom, who has recently died. I can deal with the sickeningly sappy parts of the movie, but the whole thing about the kids' mom's death is a bit much for a children's Christmas movie.

A fun family movie
This was a cute movie bringing forth the Santa Paws series again. My kids loved the original movie and when they saw that we had received this movie to watch the wasted no time in getting me to put it on. The premise of the movie was fun and the dogs definitely get into some mischief, but in the end they learn some valuable lessons about the Christmas season and about themselves and they share this with the viewers as well. I don't want to give away too much, but this movie was a lot of fun for the whole family, and if your kids are like my daughters they will love the movie and adore the puppies!
